Steven F. Paul, DDS, MD

Dr. Paul was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. The son of a dentist who treated each patient with compassion and mutual respect, Dr. Paul strives every day to emulate the compassionate care that his father exemplified. His love of medicine and of helping individuals started in elementary school where his classroom reports in 1st and 2nd grade consisted of the skeletal and musculoskeletal systems respectively.

An active child, Dr. Paul learned how to ski in kindergarten at Snowbird Ski Resort. His impulse for physical activity continued through his high school years where he participated in the weightlifting club and joined the ranks of the Thousand-Pound Club for combined powerlifting. Throughout high school, Dr. Paul also worked tirelessly in various jobs from delivering pizzas to construction work in order to earn and save money to fund a 2-year, full-time volunteer mission for his church.

After returning from his 2-year mission, Dr. Paul attended UNLV for undergraduate school where he studied integrative and organismal biology. He went on to study at the prestigious UCLA dental school, where he finished in the top of his class and obtained his doctorate in a Dental Surgery Degree (DDS). His passion for oral surgery, as well as his ability to help those with complex medical issues, grew.

After finishing dental school at UCLA (DDS), Dr. Paul attended medical school at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School obtaining his Doctor of Medicine (MD). He furthered his training by completing a General Surgery Internship and an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. Dr. Paul’s training involved the correction of severe traumatic facial injuries. He was also part of the craniofacial team that treats complex facial deformities.

Dr. Paul met and married his wife, Jennette, while they were both attending UCLA where she earned her degree in history. As their knowledge and training grew, so did their family. They started their family while in dental school and finished his residency with 5 brilliant, beautiful children.

Dr. Paul has devoted his profession to all aspects of oral surgery with special interests in the treatment and restoration of missing teeth through dental implant procedures that include advanced techniques in full mouth rehabilitation (all on 4), bone and soft tissue grafting, restoring both function and aesthetics, as well as extraction of wisdom teeth and associated cysts and tumors of the oral cavity. All this is done through anesthetic techniques specific for each individual patient. Dr. Paul also serves the state by treating individuals that are institutionalized and meeting their urgent oral surgical needs.

Dr. Paul enjoys spending time with his wife and children through various outdoor activities that include camping, hiking, whitewater rafting, snorkeling, tennis, traveling, and seeking out every adventurous foodie opportunity they can.
